The Santa Cruz 2022 breaks new ground in the SUV, truck and crossover segments by delivering a true sports adventure vehicle unlike anything else in the US market. Santa Cruz features a bold yet sophisticated design, powerful and efficient powertrain options, a flexible open bed for gears, state-of-the-art connectivity, and a highly manoeuvrable all-wheel-drive platform that's equally at home in environments urban and adventure oriented. RELEASE DATE: The Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle begins production in Montgomery, Alabama in June and will be available for sale in the summer. Powerful and efficient powertrains Santa Cruz offers two powerful, flexible and efficient powertrains. The standard powertrain is a 2.5L direct-injection inline-four with an estimated output of over 190 horsepower and over 180 lb-ft. of couple. This engine couples to an eight-speed hydraulic automatic transmission for quick acceleration and exceptional efficiency. Santa Cruz also offers a 2.5L direct injection turbocharged engine with an estimated output of over 275 horsepower and over 310 lb-ft. of torque linked to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). This DCT includes steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual control of gear changes by the driver. Everything about Santa Cruz reflects a duality of purpose in the execution of its design.
